R.L. Byrd who is an architect in Atlanta has the passion of writing and now he is taking advantage of this desire by raising the voice in the form of characters.
He is attracting people to the issues which are more important as compared to the other news which is not that important and not making any difference in the society.
Black coffee is the recent release of the writer in which the African American male’s second perspective.
These are the most challenging issues of the community right now, and this is kind of motivation for the people who stay silent when everything is happening in front of their eyes.
He talks about the major issues black males are facing right now including Disproportionate homicide rates, unintentional injuries, suicide, HIV/AIDS, disparities in employment, and graduation rates.
With the book, he also comes up with the project named H.U.S.H. to make the people motivated and to help them in facing all the challenges in the society with the grace and dignity.
Byrd said “I can be whoever I want to be when I write; but most of all, I want to be the character that changes the hearts and minds of not only the people in my books, but those who read them.”
The early upbringing of the Byrd made him a passionate writer in the coastal town of Brunswick, Georgia. When he was born, it was a time when America and South were going together to evolve. In 1992, Byrd got a degree in
Architecture from the University of Oklahoma because he was a passionate architecture as well with the writer. He took a break from the writing and keep all his focus on the building which was his field at that time.
In 2010 after thinking a lot about the character and forming them correctly in the mind, he released his debut novel “for sweet love.”
Now the black coffee is the sequel to the book where is talking about the more serious issues through the characters.
This story of the Byrd based on the actual events which took place and now he decided to put them in words and what characters wants to say through the story to the people who can’t say anything to the society.
Right now he is working on the third novel named “The Art of Scandal.”
This book will help the people who are going through the issues which us changing their lives.
The art of handling the problems and how one can do them in a perfect manner to keep the future relationships and challenges safe from any trouble.
He said ““It only takes one person to shine a light on what’s kept in the dark, but a community to turn on the floodlights. Life inspires me to write.
I’m always writing enlightening stories of the trials and tribulations faced during one’s journey through life.” Byrd has put all his efforts and passion into the book to make people see the right things.
