Saudi Arabia Lifts Blackberry Ban
Let’s review what has occurred in the past week. Early last week Saudi Arabia ordered a ban of Blackberry services effective Friday, August 6, 2010. Based on research of limited information available, the ban is centered around RIM being pressured by officials in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, India and other countries for greater access to the encrypted information sent by BlackBerry devices.
