Well, a lot of people got invites, but I wasn't one of them. According to many who actually did get invites, Wave is not all it's cracked up to be. Sure, it's an awesome service for collaboration, but it's not something that's going to replace Twitter, FriendFeed, or Facebook. Seems like it's just a little too realtime and comes up a little short in providing the user with tools to manage it effectively. Some think Wave is overhyped while others are begging for invites like the crackhead in Menace to Society. Check out Wayne's Wave screencast . (Wave details)

Threadsy is a service that allows you to access your Facebook, Twitter, and email all from one slick interface. It's quite similar to FriendBinder with a few major differences. The design is simple: on one side, you have all your inboxes from the services you've plugged in, including your email, Facebook messages, Twitter DM's, and Mentions. On the other you see your Twitter feed and Facebook notifications.

A new 99-cent application from Tiverias Apps called GPush (iTunes link) aims to change that. Calling GPush simple would be an understatement – this app literally has a one-track mind. The only thing it does is provide push notifications for new emails in Gmail. It doesn’t open emails, or send emails, it just lets you know when new ones arrive, as soon as they arrive, and no matter what you’re doing.
