For those of you who weren’t lucky enough to be at BlogWorld Expo (THE Largest blogging conference to date) I was able to snag this interview with Jermaine Dupri after his keynote there. He talks about social media, the speed of blogging and publishing content among other things. Jermaine currently has his own blog called Globa14.com, we’ve covered it here before, and has plans to continue to expand into new media. Check the video after the jump.

To take a look at Jay-Z ’s trending reign on Twitter you’ll have to go back to June 5 when Jay-Z released Death of Autotunes track. We covered it here on the post “Jay-Z Kills AutoTune via Twitter with D.O.A.” Ever since then Jay-Z has been trending on Twitter longer than any other music artist. Jay hasn’t been trending every day since June 5 but every time a new announcement about the Blueprint 3 album was made he would crawl back to #1 trending on Twitter or reappear.

I can’t take it anymore, I just looked at the trending topics on Twitter and number one is #uknowublackwhen and the tweets that flowing in at an alarming rate are TERRIBLE! Most of the tweets are racist, stereotypical and appalling. To some they may be funny but to me they’re not. It just shows to others that we need to learn some online etiquette ASAP!

If you were on twitter after their scheduled maintenance on Friday then you probably saw that Jay-Z was the number one trending topic. If you’re still wondering why it’s because of the release of his new song called Death of Autotune aka D.O.A. for his upcoming album Blueprint 3 that will be released on the eighth anniversary of the original album, September 11th. While the track comes with mixed reviews (not sure how) here is a quick snapshot of the song’s acceptance via Twitter:
