Reagan Gomez Writes and Produces New Original Web series

Web series aren’t just for those who’ve never had the opportunity to grace the television screen. Stars who have been on successful sitcoms and movies are turning to the Web for more acting opportunities too.

Reagan Gomez, most known for her role on 90′s sitcom ‘Parenthood,’ has written, produced and will star in an original Web series called “Almost Home.”

The Web series also stars some other familiar Black actors some of whom Gomez has worked with in the past including Wesley Jonathan, Denyce Lawton, Jackie Long, QU33N!, and DeWayne Turrentine.

It looks like it has the potential to be a decent show depending on your interest and taste. After the death of their mother, Lisa, played by Gomez and DeJuan, played by DeJuan Turrentine decide to live out their dreams and move to California. Lisa quickly finds a job while DeJuan gives up engineering school to become a singer. All seems well till old troubles find them…mainly, Lisa’s abusive fiancé. She learns to embrace her stronger self, while DeJuan learns a little responsibility isn’t such a bad thing.

“Almost Home” is directed by Matthew A Cherry and co-executive produced by Al Thompson and Matthew A. Cherry. Many details about the Web series haven’t been released. But we will update as it is available until then you can check out the trailer below.
