Obama Campaign Launches Obama for America iOS App
Need a new app? How about President Obama’s new campaign iOS app.
The president’s campaign have launched Obama for America, a mobile app that includes election information, grassroots organizational tools, campaign news and more.
Of course there is a little social media integration as well. Users can post to Facebook, tweet and invite friends to President Obama’s events directly from the app. With the help of Google Maps supporters can find their way easily to campaign events all over the country.
The app is a very helpful tool that many supporters will like. It eliminates a lot of what used to be paper material. Now people can get everything straight from their phones.
Stephanie Cutter, Obama for America deputy campaign manager tells Wired “as we push through the last 100 days of this election, our focus remains on helping make grassroots organizing as easy and accessible as possible for the volunteers and supporters that are the heart and soul of this campaign.”
The Obama campaign will continue to push digital throughout the coming weeks leading to the election and are still hiring for digital positions. They are currently looking for an African-American Constituency Manager to manage and produce digital content for African-American outreach.
The candidate will be focused on the African-American community and will work with the African-American voter outreach team on producing material.
If it sounds like something of interest send an email to opportunities@barackobama.com describing why you want to work for the campaign, along with resume and portfolio.
iOS users can download the new app in the App Store today. The team is launching an Android version to release soon.
