Our company was at a crossroad in terms of transitioning. It became clear to us that having the opportunity to join an accelerator would be ideal for us. We were in the daily deals space, but realized we were going to pivot.
I looked at a few different accelerators. I decided that we really didn’t need capital, but mentorship and connections. What I found is that NewME had the best start-up to mentor ratio out of all accelerators I looked at and that excited me.
Words on the application process:
It wasn’t overwhelming. It was adequate. Often times teams and founders are so busy working on their product that its hard to fill out applications. I felt like this application was a holistic process and did not overwhelm me. I did not see any “gotcha” or weird obscure questions. Everything had to do with our business.
