Hub Oakland to Host Oakland NewMe Community Kick-Off Mixer

NewMe communities are doing amazing things in cities across the country and the community is becoming bigger and better. Hub Oakland, a co-working space where people not only work but hold events and collaborate on innovative ideas is hosting the Oakland NewMe Community kick-off mixer Friday, April 20.

The meetup will be a night filled with fun tech talk featuring “Ted Talk” presentations & cocktails with minority-led technology start-up accelerator/incubator business owners and funders.

Presenters for the soiree will include:

Kimberly Bryant, Founder, Black Girls Code
Kelle McMahon, CEO, Green Science Academy
Anca Mosoiu, Founder, Techliminal
Zakiya Harris, Founder, G4GMobile.com
Susan Mernit, Co-Founder, OaklandLocal.org
Jesse Martinez, Founder, Latino Start-Up Alliance

Founders of the NewMe Accelerator, Angela Benton and Wayne Sutton will also be in attendance at the evenings mixer giving special remarks.

The event will be hosted by Hub Oakland Curator, Ashara Ekundayo  and Jesse Martinez from Latino Start-Up Alliance.
