Is 2012 The Year You Learn How To Code?

As we kick off 2012 many people are making their new years resolutions to lose weight, get a new job, and more but for many entrepreneurs and geeks a like there is one resolution that is at the top of the list. That resolution is learning how to code. There are many free sites that teach online programming with one of the newest and gaining in popularity being codecademy. Note codecademy is not the same as the paid in person courses codeacademy. See the missing “a”?

To help wanna be programmers stick to their New Year’s resolution codecademy launched Codeyear.com. At CodeYear.com you sign-up via your email address and you will be sent a new interactive programming lesson each week. This is a great idea and also smart marketing campaign that has as already collected over 80,000 emails/people who have pledged to learn how to code in 2012.

While codecademy primarily focuses on learning javascript here are few more sites that teaches you how to learn other programing languages:
