Google Announced as 2012 NewME Accelerator Sponsor

An exciting announcement was made at the West Coast pre-screening of Black in America 4 on Friday. The NewMe Accelerator team announced tech giant, Google as their presenting sponsor for 2012.

Sponsors played a major part in the 2011 accelerator and will be just as important in the coming year. The partnership with Google means a few changes for the accelerator. NewMe will be based out of Mountain View, Calif., founders and teams will work out of the Googleplex, and welcome events and demo days will take place at Google facilities.

Outside of the NewMe team having access to the great facilities Google has to offer, they will have the access to Google’s star engineers to the one of the top VC’s.

With the support of Google and many other sponsors and mentors, the NewMe Accelerator 2012 is looking to be an even bigger success than last year.

Deadline for the Winter/Spring 2012 cycle is Dec. 16th, 2011. Visit the NewMe Accelerator site to apply.
