Will.i.am’s Google+ Profile Gets Link on Google’s Front Page
New advertising opportunities just became available, at least for Will.i.am it has. Go to Google’s homepage today and see a link to the Black Eyed Peas band member’s Google+ profile reading: Hangout with the Black Eyed Peas before they go on stage. Tonight at 6pm ET.
It is reported to be the first time a Google+ profile has been linked on the front page of Google which is recognized as one of the most valuable advertising spaces on the Web.
No word on if this something that Google intends to make a regular happening or if it just exclusive to the Black Eyed Peas today. This is for sure a great promotion opportunity for the Black Eyed Peas to not just promote their profile but different events and the brand as a whole.
In addition, this is great for Google+ in that it may attract more people to the network, in particular celebrities.
