MediaTakeout.com Announce Joint Venture For Original Web Programming
One of the most popular urban entertainment sites, MediaTakeout.com is stepping outside the box offering faithful visitors something new. They announced that they are expanding its online site by developing a TV/Web portion to its much popular online medium.
MediaTakeout.com entered into a joint venture deal with film acquisition and distribution company Fisher Klingenstein Films led by Emmy award winning film/TV producer and financier, Danny Fisher.
In this new venture, Media Takeout will bring a regular line up of original TV-style programming to its highly viewed site beginning with the debut of its first show MediaTakeout Presents: First Date.
The first web series, First Date is a weekly reality dating show. Each episode features one man who chooses one of three women working for his affection. The show is said to capture all the romantic tension, excitement, and awkwardness of a first date as the women compete for the man’s heart.
The show features a variety of participants and tapes in several locations across the country. But First Date is just the beginning. Founder and editor of Media Takeout, Fred Mwangaguhunga, tells us there are a lot of series’ on the way including a documentary mini-series about the hip-hop industry that is set to hit online by late October or November.
In addition, not only will Media Takeout provide diversified programming on the site but with will be able to provide new opportunities beyond traditional cable and network TV avenues for producers and screenwriters to have their projects directly green-lit and distributed online as a result of the joint venture.
Incorporating web/TV programming sets Media Takeout apart from the average entertainment blogs. “We’re leveraging our position as the largest urban website in the world, and using it to deliver quality content to 10 million people, says Mwangaguhunga. The goal is to not only be the top urban blog, but to be the top urban entertainment company.”
