President Obama Looks to Twitter Users for Bipartisan Compromise

President Barack Obama has so far lived up to his word that he would use social media to communicate with citizens. He now is looking for support through twitters users to voice their opinions to lawmakers on the issue to raise the debt ceiling.

President Obama tweeted:

The time for putting party first is over. If you want to see a bipartisan #compromise, let Congress know. Call. Email. Tweet. —BO.

The President has asked lawmakers to raise the debt ceiling, and both Democrat and Republican lawmakers are  in negotiations. It will be interesting to see just how many twitter users will respond and what impact this will have on the final decision.
