#28DaysofDiversity: Jen Lawrence @JaelDesignsInc
As a full-time working mother of four, Jen Lawrence is definitely a master of multitasking. As the marketing coordinator of an alternative weekly newspaper, owner of a web and graphic design business, and blogger, she takes her “hectic life” in stride. With a dream of becoming a “mompreneur, Lawrence began blogging about her journey to her goal, that spun off into a more personal site that began her entry into the world of social networking, marketing, and media. This self-described social butterfly has leveraged her social networking talents into opportunities to serve as brand ambassador for some notable brands as well as relationship-building opportunities.
When it comes to closing the digital divide, Lawrence is adamant: “We need to make sure computers are accessible, we need to help educate, and offer affordable or free software to people who aren’t fortunate enough to have these resources conveniently in front of them whether it be in low income communities, schools etc.”
