Georgia Boys and Girls Club Receives New Technology Lab

Kids at the Albany Boys and Girls Club have something to smile about. SASCO Chemical Group, “leader in the manufacturing of environmentally safe specialty chemicals,” donated $25,000 towards a new technology lab. The renovated space includes 20 new, state-of-the-art computers, new carpeting and furniture.

SASCO has worked with the Boys and Girls Club for 47 years, according to Fox31Online, and this year felt that revamping the old space was vital. Yesterday, representative from SASCO took a tour of the space which is being dedicated to Mrs. “L” Carolyn Laschober, founder of the company who recently passed away.

“We just walked in the six year olds are just plowing away at a computer. It’s amazing! We’re excited to be a part of it! A lot of the kids don’t have these computers at home so this is where they get to interact and learn,” says SASCO President Marc Skalla.

According to WALB10 News, the grateful kids presented the SASCO staff with a huge thank you card to express their appreciation for their generosity.
