Currenthiphop.com Revamps, Improves Sharing Features

It’s been a while since we checked in on burgeoning music website Currenthiphop.com. No longer a freshman in the online music scene, Currenthiphop has transformed into one of the must-visit sites for fresh mixes, fresh beats and–most importantly–fresh talent. Popular industry newcomers like Asher Roth as well as R&B heavyweights like Mary J. Blidge are just a few of the artists among their ranks.

Currenthiphop has added quite a few new use-friendly features, while providing ample opportunities for registered artists to share music and grow their fan base. By using the three tabs on the homepage labeled: songs, artists and mixtapes, site visitors can explore content with ease. Each artist page also features a “follow” button. Since most music lovers don’t keep up with new music everyday, the new follow feature is perfect for artists who are putting out a lot of music at once. With the follow button, registered users can keep up with their favorite Currenthiphop artists through updates on their homepage.  Any new music that a followed artist posts will be seen in a follower’s homepage dashboard.

One of the best new features of the site is their unlimited upload feature. Once an artist has registered for an account, they can upload and publish as many songs and mixtapes as they want. Currenthiphop keeps the songs organized and provides them for eager fans to download for as long as the artist allows. These new publishing features can also come in handy for producers and publicists who are trying to build a following for their clients. For those managing several artists in their Currenthiphop dashboard, publishing and sharing are easier than ever. In addition to uploading their own songs, artists can also release collaborative mixtapes and cross promote songs to several streams of followers at once.
