BW2.0 Announcements

Top 50 Amazing Tech Tastemakers

I’m excited to announce our Top 50 Amazing Tech Tastemakers. It’s been an interesting few months around here and as always we learn a lot from both the people we interview and also you, the audience. That said we’re making part of our Tastemakers list crowdsourced, you can submit who YOU think should be on the list with the added bonus of your submissions being in real-time. The first 15 spots on the list have been chosen by the BW 2.0 staff based on “Buzz” (a combination of search, what’s being said about the individual, and their seniority within the technology industry). The remaining spots will be determined via crowdsourcing. If there’s a person that should be included on the list, vote for them in “Submit Your Own Tastemaker”. The tastemaker with the most votes will move to the top of the list. You can submit votes for one month (until November 22, 2010 5pm EST) when the list will be closed and all positions on the list will be locked.

Here at Black Web 2.0, tastemakers are the developers, the thinkers, and the risk takers. They’re the entrepreneurs that sink their last dollar into their dream, the writers who report on it, and the evangelists who spread the word. Tastemakers are not influenced, they create influence and they do it through amazingly bold and innovative action. They are redefining the world of tech and ensuring the digital revolution will be televised, tweeted, blogged, and crowdsourced.

Additionally, with the support and commitment of HP on this Tatsemakers list we’ve also partnered with Clutch to pull together women Tastemakers online. So check out who made the list and submit your own! Let us know what you think in the comments and don’t forget to submit your own Tech Tastemaker!
