Rumor Has it… Veteran Journalist/Editor Mimi Valdes Named Head of Content at BET.com
Rumors fly fast in new media circles and the latest is involves veteran journo and editor, Mimi Valdes. Valdes is to become the head of content on BET.com, BET’s digital property.
Mimi Valdes left a position as editorial director of Latina magazine in May, and has been working as the editor-in-chief and co-founder of Kidult.com, a joint venture with Pharrell Williams.
Valdes has had an illustrious career that began at at Vibe as an editorial assistant and then became its editor-in-chief.
Sources say that the new position with BET.com has been created specifically for Valdes. Information on her hire has not been released yet.
