'App'-titude: 6 Ways to Step Your Droid X App Game Up

If you are one of the lucky ones who has a fully functioning Droid X in their person, this article is for you. Today we have a few apps that can add to your enjoyment of the Droid X which is proving to be quite an addition to the smartphone market.

Handcent- This app is an free enhanced SMS and MMS program that will give you the ability to customize any and everything about your texting experience on the Android. Special Ringtones for specific people when they text, Speech and Speak SMS, and video support as well. For those people who live and die by texting, this will bring your texts to life.

Swype - Swype provides a faster and easier way to input text on any screen. With one continuous finger or stylus motion across the screen keyboard, the patented technology enables users to input words faster and easier than other data input methods—at over 40 words per minute. Very cool.

Google Goggles - This app lets you get information about objects simply by pointing your phone at them. It can recognize landmarks, logos, artwork, businesses, and all sorts of different products. Once you snap an image, Goggles scans and identifies it. Seconds later, it brings you detailed information about the object along with pages of relevant Web results.

Homerun Battle 3D - It is the middle of baseball season, so why not enjoy yourself with a baseball game on your Droid to pass the time. Go solo or battle others online in a Homerun Derby. See your competitor side by side with picture-in-picture online match-ups. Customize uniform and player as you gain more achievements. Use the Gold Balls to buy customization items.

Shopsavvy - With ShopSavvy, available for free in the Android Market, you can quickly scan any  barcode and see how much other stores -- both online and in your area -- are charging for the  item. You can also check out user reviews, making this app a must-have for any tech-oriented sihopping trip.

PicPush- This app can automatically share pics and videos from your phone with several major services at the same time. PicPush easily uploads images to Facebook, Flickr, Gallery, PhotoBucket, Picasa, Shutterfly, and SmugMug. You need enter your various login credentials just once; afterward, let PicPush do the rest in the background (even during phone calls, if you like).
