Ticketfly Aquires Gigbot to Socialize Concert Promotions

by Terrance Gaines Ticketfly Aquires Gigbot to Socialize Concert Promotions

Ticketfly has dubbed itself as a “next-generation ticketing and marketing company from the first folks to sell event tickets online.”

A more, non-biased description of the site is it’s a place where venues and event promoters can market and sell tickets for their events. But I can see why Ticketfly has such a rosy outlook about its capabilities due to the aquisition of Gigbot, the popular live event search site.

With Gigbot, Ticketfly can expand its marketing and promotions arm by offering Gigbot Pro to venues and event promoters.

With Gigbot Pro, you make better decisions about booking, promotion, and pricing because you own all aspects of the lifecycle of a show – marketing, ticketing, customer transactions and information are all under your control. And Gigbot Pro makes it all easy to use, manage, and understand.

With Gigbot Pro, users can:

- Display your events on a branded website designed for your venue or business.
- Tickets are purchased on your site
- Control event display on your website with featured shows, upcoming events, and monthly show calendar.
- Multiple venues can be added to promote events at different locations.
- Send events through branded emails that match your web site.
- Maintain your own member list and target emails to them with specific shows.
- Every Gigbot Pro website is enabled with RSS and iCal feeds.

The cool part behind aquiring Gigbot is that Ticketfly can now utilize social networking to help promoters market their events anywhere fans would look to find concert dates and tickets, and as a result gives fans a larger database of artists to search, by tickets, and share their plans to see their favorite band across all their favorite sites.

Now i’m not an event promoter, or own a concert venue, or have a lick of musical talent; but it sounds as if Ticketfly with Gigbot has created a platform that brings promoters, venues, and fans together to make it easier than Ticketmaster to enjoy good live music.

  • Great concept of this company trying to help and improvise those promotional events that company wants or even an artist wants. It will absolutely deliver results on both ends. All positive as I can see it.
