Collaborate on Projects with ManyMoon
One of the most popular apps in the Google Apps Marketplace is Manymoon. What is Manymoon? It’s a social productivity tool that makes it simple to get work done online. The strongest part of Manymoon is that you can take any Google Docs project and collaborate right away. Users can access the application from any of their Google Apps using Google universal navigation. There’s no need to register or sign-in. You can then seamlessly access your Google Docs, Contacts and Calendar from within Manymoon, just as before, but with no other authorization or setup steps.
The calendar integration is especially impressive because it sits within your regular calendar and adds the project due dates and tasks seamlessly. For the increasing work population who lives and dies on their Google calendar, this is golden. All of these features will significantly increase the usability of the Manymoon-Google Apps integration.
Many users have some at least minimal concern about the security and privacy of their information and working across different projects. Manymoon provides advanced Project Privacy Settings. With this feature, you can set permissions for what each project member can access and do within a project. When you enable this feature, you can set a project member to ‘View Limited Data.’ This project member can now only view information shared explicitly with them (e.g., a task assigned to them) and not view any other project information such as project members, tasks, documents and links. You can also select which project members can invite people to this project.
Tagging is also a very nice feature within Manymoon. You can tag any task, project, document, link or event in Manymoon. For example, for a specific project you could label it “hotel e-commerce project.” As you continue to work with different documents within Manymoon, you can add the tags. Add different events in the Google calendar and other pictures and documents and you have a fully formed project living and breathing within the app. Now, just click on any tag and you will see a list of all associated information that you have access to. Brilliant and easy, especially when you are working on numerous projects. I am the process of working on a few projects currently with Manymoon as a central piece. I will report back my findings very soon.
Fast-forward to 3:00 minutes on this video and check out the live demonstration of Manymoon. Cool stuff.
Will you use Manymoon for your next big collaboration project?
