The main competitors for Stribe are Ning, socialthing and meebo. The key feature that sets Stribe apart from its competition is that once installed on your website, your Stribe network service allows a site’s community to interact with other communities on all Stribe-enabled sites.

Thanks @Kevin and @DocDre for your comments. We are already working on Social Network integration and it's going to be available very soon. We do want to leverage existing social identities to let people create more real time conversations.
The big announcement is about something bigger ;o) (hopefully)

@Kamel Understanding the other big announcement may be coming in about 2 months, what is the approximate time line for delivering the integration points with the other social networks? 3 months? 6 months? While you have somewhat of a first mover advantage, I think in order to seize the opportunity to @DocDre's point, you'll have to deliver on this integration sooner than later. I know of a number of publishers who would adopt this service yesterday if it were available now.

@powerpeople Thanks for your post about Stribe ! You have perfectly understood that we are designing a new social network dimension for websites to let them join web social ring and grab new opportunities for their content and visitors.

In couple month, we'll announce is a BIG BIG news about Stribe and I hope that blackweb20.com will join the network and the Social Media community. ;o)

By the way, we are improving the design and the user experience of the Stribe Interface and
as @Amani and @DocDre suggest, we are integrating all the connect (twitter, myspace, Google, Yahoo) in addition to Facebook Connect which is already available.

Thanks for your support!
Feel free to contact us!
@stribe

@DocDre - I do know that you can use Facebook to login to the site via FB connect. The founder did speak about facebook in his pitch and said that no specific integration is there now because they want to see where people are coming from and get some better analytical information. This could change in the future. Thanks for your comment!
