Snapdat: Your Virtual Business Card

Snapdat: Your Virtual Business Card

Imagine never having to worry about running out of business cards. Imagine not having to fumble through your wallet looking for a fresh business card. For all of the iPhone users (and iTouch users), you can have Snapdat at your disposal. Snapdat allows you to take your business cards “digital” with a content sharing application that has the familiar look and form of a traditional business card. Upon meeting someone, you have two options. If this person also has a snapdat account, you can transfer your data instantly and it will pop-up within the application. For everyone else, you can email them a v-card which will include an image of your vcard. Snapcards™ are better than traditional v-cards because they are graphically rich in data that can be customized for each occasion and personality. Editing your card is as simple as logging on to the app and making the necessary adjustments within the Snapdat software.

Snapdat has approximately 40 different designs of various business cards built in to the system. A new addition to Snapdat is the ability for you to incorporate your company logo into the snapcard. The process is very simple and the final look is clean and professional. There are additional features which include automatic integration in the iPhone address book, linking twitter and other social networking sites from within your Snapcards™ and locating where the exchange took place with the Geo-tagging feature. If you have different companies you represent, you can create multiple Snapcards™ and select which ones you want to share each time you meet a new person.

One of my favorite features is if I am physically located in Los Angeles and I want to exchange cards with someone who is physically located in London, all it takes is the same exchange process as if they were right in front of me. Very genius.  For the ultimate networker, you can create an “open” Snapcard™ which will allow anyone with the app to download your card. This could be yet another avenue for sales leads or new business opportunities. Take a look at this quick tutorial video and then look in itunes for this free app.
