MLK Day Gets a New Twist, #ihaveadream Trends the Web

Most of us are use to celebrating Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday the same way every year.  Typically with a day off of work or school and maybe even listening to his famous I Have A Dream speech.  With younger generations being further and further removed from the very real struggles Dr. King fought for we have to wonder if there are new ways to celebrate Dr. King…above just getting a free day at home.  On this day we can continue to celebrate Dr. King with what we typically do on a day to day basis.  If you haven’t listened to his speech today or thought about what you are thankful for because of his fight, send a tweet or search something that you don’t know about him already.  MLK Quotes are a particularly hot search terms today as is appending aspirational tweets with #ihaveadream.  Even if you don’t tweet it is very interesting to see what people dream of because of Martin Luther King, Jr.  Try it out, the whole web is doing it.
