I know Pandora requires paid services on some devices, but I can vouch for the fact that it is free on the iPhone and Blackberry Bold as I own both. I used it daily at work previously on my iPhone, and now on my Blackberry for the past year.

Thank you for the very useful info, sir...

I've been using Pandora every day for the last week and a half for hours and had no idea about the scaled pay model. Appreciate it!

Actually, Pandora does not allow its users to "create" their own radio stations. A user types in a song, genre, or artist, and the service streams a channel which plays programming similar to the user's request.

I found out Pandora offers users 40 hours of free programming. Beyond that, users pay $.99 to receive unlimited programming for the month. There's another package that costs $36 annually. The company was close to going belly up recently because of the prohibitive royalty schedule charged to Internet radio services. Perhaps a settlement with European record labels, the agreement w/ Ford, and some other technological developments will make them profitable.
