If you use multiple computers, keeping your bookmarks in sync can be a pain. Now, Google Chrome adds the ability to sync your bookmarks between computers running Chrome by simply entering your Google Account information. The changes areĀ instantaneous. The only catch is that you have to be running the latest beta of Chrome to get the new feature. (video atĀ The Google Chrome Blog)
Run Your Own Google Wave Server
In case you forgot, one of the ideas behind Google Wave is for the servers to be federated. Anyone can run their own custom server and they should all be able to talk to each other. Google just enabled this ability, so you can go ahead and start playing with your very own Google Wave server now. Visit the Google Wave Developer Blog for details.
Amazon Makes Affiliate Links Easier
Amazon just made it easy for their affiliates to tweet links to products directly from the site. Clicking the Share on Twitter button will create a tweet for you describing the product you’re looking at and including a link. When someone follows the link and actually buys something, you get your commission. They use bit.ly to shorten the links. Some say this type of situation is shady because those viewing your Twitter stream don’t even know their looking at an ad. I don’t see what the big deal is. If I think the latest Raekwon album is that fire and recommend it to my friends or followers, why shouldn’t I get a cut of the proceeds? I’ve been doing this on my own for the longest anyway, Amazon just made it easier for me.
Have a Creepy Robot Voice Read Your Tweets To You
Tweetrad.io lets you plugin a search for Twitter and then reads the results, out loud. I can’t say whether it’s actually useful or not, but it’s definitely amusing to hear a robotic voice read the things people post on Twitter. Check out the screencast at Mashable to see it in action.
