Sleek Audio SA1 Earbuds: Music to your Wallet

Sleek Audio

If you’re a music lover like me, then you know that sound quality is everything. You’re not really hearing the song unless you’re hearing all the highs, lows, and mids. You’re listening for those little nuances that separate a good song from a great one. However, with today’s music, much of it is so compressed you miss those little nuggets and the headphones aren’t exactly helping the cause. Especially the in-ears. Oftentimes, they’re ill fitting contraptions that only detract from the listening experience since you’re constantly trying to readjust the fit to prevent sound loss.

Enter Sleek Audio and their high performance earphones. Innovative, smoking good looks, and customizable, these in-ears definitely live up to the sleek moniker. But high quality usually comes with a large price tag and Sleek Audio products are the same with the awe-inspiring CT6 Custom earbuds topping out at $349.99.

But never fear, the recession gods must be smiling on us because Sleek Audio has just unveiled a more affordable pair of their wares. The SA1 earbuds are an exercise in price-conscious awesome. Sacrificing none of the aesthetics, the SA1 body is made of Siam rosewood body which adds to both the look and the sound.

Speaking of the sound, these earpieces are serious. Built with a custom tuned 6mm. driver, these babies deliver bass in drivers twice as large. As far as technology goes, the headphones are featuring a modified version of Sleek’s VQ system which allows users to adjust the sound via the two treble ports that screw into the headphones creating optimal sound unique to every ear. They also feature the Kleer wireless system that lets listeners go from wired to wireless and back again with no fuss or muss. According to the site the headphones has ten hours of battery life and a range of 60 feet in wireless mode.

So with that said, how much are the SA1 earbuds going to cost you? It’s still a little pricey at $79.99, but if the sound is up to snuff, it’s more than worth the price.  The SA1′s hit stores some time in November and are currently available for pre-order.
