Learning the skill of hacking can be used for a lot of things, so I would encourage you to learn as much as you can. Let's say you're really into Google for example, you can start learning a skill the IT security industry calls “Google Hacking.”

Essentially you're manipulating Google through your search queries to retrieve sensitive data store on the web in unsecure database, excel spreadsheets, database, etc. Typically large enterprises conduct Google Hacking on themselves to make sure a hacker or a competitor for example, can't retrieve any sensitive information about them.

Go to google.com and search “johnihackstuff” … the site is Johnny Long's site, who wrote the book Google Hacking Volume 1 and 2.. This should get you going.. Happy hacking..
