12seconds1

12seconds has made many major changes since we last covered it. They have continued to partner with major brands to create a platform for promotion through their user base and give their users a chance to win cool stuff. Their new rooms feature helps you create focused video interaction. They continue to be the absolute easiest way to create and share a quick video. They have also brought us free and easy video messaging. Oh…and they have Bill Cosby.

12mail

12mail is the first integrated, multi-platform video messaging system ever built for the web and mobile devices. 12seconds has redesigned the site to incorporate a video inbox. Not only can you send a video message to your friends on 12seconds, but you can also video message anyone in your entire network. Simply connect your Twitter and/or Facebook accounts, pick some friends, record a video, and hit Send.

From there we take your brilliant little video, convert it into like 9,000 (approximate) different formats and push it to people as Direct Messages on Twitter, as Wall Posts on Facebook and even push it to mobile devices.  Our videos are playable on all kinds of mobile devices.  You can even play 12second video messages on the new Facebook iPhone app.

iPhone users can get the free 12mail app, which brings video messaging directly to your phone. Send your video from your iPhone (first gen, 3G or 3GS) directly to other phones or your Facebook and Twitter friends. 12mail will even push notify people with the app installed. If 12seconds is like Twitter with video, 12mail is like texting with video.

Rooms

If you’ve been looking for a way to keep your video conversations on topic or want to create your own space for your viewers to interact, 12seconds rooms are what you need. Any videos that use your hashtag will automatically be imported into your room. Your customized recorder in your room will auto-tag any videos created there. You can customize the look and feel of your room with banners, backgrounds, and a custom introduction video. Rooms are still in the testing phase, so you’ll have to email 12seconds to get yours. You can view the 12seconds rooms directory to get an idea of how they work.

It appears that Bill Cosby is joining the list of celebs that frequent 12seconds. You can check out his room where he talks about “posting visual on the tweetie with the twitter twatter…” or something like that. He is also on twitter as @BillCosby.

Are you on 12seconds yet? What are you waiting for?
