AsusTek is upping the ante with its latest creation, the eeebox pc eb1501. The name might not sound that sexy, but the specs more than make up for it.

The 193mm x 193mm x 39mm, 1.2kg nettop is definitely a beauty. Available in Noble White or Modern Black, the eb1501 is set on a stylish ballerina-inspired tilt making it a nice design element for whatever room it will be gracing. But the real action is under the hood. Powered with an Intel Atom N330 Dual Core processor the nettop has a NVIDIA ION graphics chip making it a total HD machine. There’s even a built-in DVD burner. Oh, and did I mention that this is the first nettop to include Windows 7?

In terms of storage there’s a 2.5-inch 250GB SATA hard drive. The standard model comes with 2GB of memory but you can increase it to 4GB. There’s also six USB 2.0 slots, Ethernet,

Engadget has the nettop selling for about $580. The eeebox is great for anyone that is fanatical about HD. The ability to get 1080 resolution out of such a small machine is mind-boggling at best and diabolical at worst. The eb1501 is a perfect addition to any entertainment set. It’s still not as powerful as your average notebook, but for what you’ll be using it for it more than gets the job done.
