Well, maybe not in the universe, but with headers like “Indisputable Power” and “Pure Domination” on its website, you can tell Dell is feeling itself right now. But the PC giant is right. When it comes to computer gaming, it all comes down to speed, power and graphics. Those three things are the difference between going on 10-hour questing missions with your guild on World of Warcraft or resigning yourself to casual Facebook games like Mafia Wars. So with that in mind, it be nice to have a gaming laptop that can handle all the heavy lifting and look good doing it, c’est no?

AlienwareDell has you covered with their recently unveiled Alienware M15x gaming laptop. Billed as the “world’s most powerful 15″ laptop”, the M15x has some serious power under the hood. The laptop gets its juice from the uber-powerful Intel Core i7 mobile processor, the first in the Alienware line to do so. The highest available version of the quad core processor is 920XM 2.0GHz (3.2GHz Turbo Mode, 8MB Cache). This mini-powerhouse enables the M15x to take advantage of the Hyper-Threading and Turbo Boost technology that allows gamers to play normally card taxing games whether there’s one enemy on the field or hundreds.

In addition, this bad boy is also equipped with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 260M graphics card so you can play games at their highest settings minus the frustration of low framerates and lagging. With the Nvidia, that 15-inch screen will be filled with nothing but beautiful high resolution fragging, looting, and pwning. There’s also the DDR3 RAM to give gamers that  extra bit speed and bandwidth needed to run games and multimedia simultaneously.

Other features include the integrated 2.o megapixel webcam, three USB 2.0 ports, ethernet, an express card slot, and an 8-in-1 card reader. As far as sound goes, there are two built in speakers that get High-def 5.1 surround sound. As this is a Dell, you know that this is a total Windows lovefest, so expect to be rocking Vista, like it or not.

The basic model of the M15x starts at $1499, but any pc gamer know that a standard rig just won’t cut it. So unless you’re a modder extraordinare, expect to be putting down some serious guap for this setup, especially if you want to upgrade the GPU or the processor.
