Pepsi Taps will.i.am, LMFAO, and Fans for Digital Remix Project

Super producer Will.i.am has teamed up with Pepsi and electro hip-hop group, LMFAO to create the ultimate user generated remix of LMFAO’s “La La La.”

Pepsi’s “Ultimate Refresh” campaign allows users to log on to www.ultimaterefresh.com and submit their own rendition of “La La La”, by adding vocals, melody, chords, or percussion to the song or by producing their own track with the QuadMasher application.

Social media platform provider, Reality Digital, created the QuadMasher application specifically for Pepsi and the “Ultimate Refresh” project. “Pepsi has proven one of the most creative companies with which we’ve ever worked,” said Mitchell Linden, SVP Strategy, Reality Digital. “Marrying their innovative spirit with our social media technology expertise on Pepsi’s QuadMasher allowed us to create a unique application that allows Pepsi to connect with their customers and enables users to collaborate with LMFAO and Will.i.am at a level never before experienced on the Web.”

Will.i.am will choose the winner of the competition and the mash-up remix of “La La La” will be be available for free download in December 2009.
