Vibe.com Re-Launch goes live as a Blog

Co-CEO Brett Wright, updated his Facebook status this morning with the news of a new Vibe.com:

As you can see he states that it is the “first step” of many more to come and so far it is…well…a blog.  Most people will probably go to the site and expect something more robust however the site does state that it’s official relaunch is coming in November 2009.  No word on if that will include the print version of the magazine as we recently reported or if it will also include a new and improved version of the site.  Either way the staff there is interested in your feedback, in any way you’d like to send it.  Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, and even iMeem.  The current iteration of the site as it exists now is perhaps an inkling into what is to come with a twist of social media involved.  Or it could possibly be seen as a way to adapt in an online environment that has come to consume entertainment related news via blogs first, and magazines later.  At the time of publishing we contacted Brett Wright was contacted for comment.

Updated: Brett updated us and stated that the current site that is up is temporary.  He and his team to re-launch the site in November with enhanced features.
