Logitech Serves it up Premium Style
by Sherri L. Smith
Just in time for all those important video conference calls, Logitech recently released their most advanced webcam. One of seven new products, the QuickCam Pro 9000 transmits clear, crisp images to the whoever is on the other side of the screen. The QuickCam comes with some decent specs with a pretty reasonable pricetag.
If you know anything about recording images, you know that having an on point lens is half the battle. With that in mind, Logitech teamed up with Carl Zeiss®, a worldwide leader in camera optics. Zeiss® lenses have been used on almost every space mission since the moon landing. Thanks to Zeiss’® quality lenses with autofocus all your images remain crystal clear in during close ups. And with a 960 x 720 resolution, HD images are a sight to behold. And with the true two megapixel sensor with up to eight-megapixels the still images are pretty respectable.
In addition to the megapixel action, there’s also RightLight™2 technology to ensure video voyeurs get the best images possible, even in the poorest lighting situations. There’s also intelligent face recognition and wide field of vision to keep you at the center of all the action. And coversations are free from distortion thanks to RightSound technology.
But Logitech knows that life is more than business meetings so they included a few features to add a little fun to your video sessions including video effects like fisheye and neon. Users can also create their own conversation avatars and their own own unique flair with face accessories and masks that move with facial expressions.
At $89 the QuickCam Pro is affordable and solid piece of tech. It’s easy to set up, just clip it on your monitor and you’re Skype or podcast ready.
