Devotec Delivers Solar Powered Sound

While having cool gadgets and software is always awesome, it’s also important to make sure that said tech isn’t affecting Mother Earth in adverse ways. The new speakers from Devotec Industries are an example of awesomely green tech.

If you’ve never heard of Devotec, they focus on creating eco-friendly chargers for your all your gadgets, primarily on solar chargers. With the release of the Solar Sound Bluetooth Speakers, you can put the sun to work for your entertainment. Weighing in at approximately .5 lbs with dimensions of 16.5 x 5.5 x 5.5cm, the speakers are extremely lightweight and small, making them highly portable. The 2 x 2 watt speakers give off decent sound in quiet areas which makes it ideal for an impromptu party.

It’s a safe bet that these speakers are compatible with any Bluetooth devices that you have available since Bluetooth is in the name of the product. So users can express their inner DJ via their mobile phones. The speakers also come with a built-in mic for handfree communication. Just in case you don’t have your phone available you can plug in any mp3 player or device with the standard headphone jack.

Thanks to the internal battery, the speakers can last eight hours at medium volume and about four cranked up to full blast. The large solar panel makes sure that the battery will have enough juice to keep the party going, but if you’re one of those sunup to sundown partiers you can opt to plug in the speakers with the packaged AC/DC plug. As with most devices these days, there is a touchscreen display for quick and easy navigation of your music selections.
