In Time for the Holidays? Apple Rumored to Debut Internet Tablet

According to Financial Times Apple is expected to introduce it’s Internet Tablet just in time for the holiday season. The tablet also known as Apple Media Pad, according to Financial Times, will

It will connect to the internet like the iPod Touch – probably without phone capability but with access to the web, and to Apple’s online stores for software and entertainment.

The price point of the tablet excludes it from competing with netbooks. The Apple Media Pad will cost somewhere between $600 and $1000 and offer the functionality of the iPod touch (it will have touch screen capabilities) and will have a 10-inch screen.

Apple is said to be developing content partnerships that will revolutionize the entertainment industry and perhaps provide major competition for Amazon’s Kindle.

Look for the device to be released in September or October.
