The Retort “Talks Back” to CNN’s Black in America 2
by Robin CaldwellDanielle Belton better known as the blogger The Black Snob has created and published a blog site, The Retort, to talk about media representations of African Americans. More specificially, The Retort dares to talk back to CNN, the producer of last year’s controversial series Black in America and this year’s Black in America 2. The Retort launched July 6 and will feature commentary from a bevy of black bloggers about Black in America/Black in America 2 as well as provide an interactive community that solicits reader, viewer feedback.
The Retort is a special blog series by several black bloggers meant to examine, discuss and dissect CNN’s Black In America series. Airing July 22 & 23, the site will be doing a live blog of the documentary and producing multimedia discussions on the topic.
