Mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson recently released a trio of phones that has something for everyone. The Aino is a sleek slider-style phone that has a lot to offer. The ideal choice for all the PlayStation 3 owners out there thanks to a unique feature called Remote Play. Originally designed for the PlayStation Portable (PSP), this feature allows users to control and access content on their PS3 via a local network in your home or the internet. Unfortnunately, the US version of the phone doesn’t allow users to access the Play TV service that lets users watch televisionvia the PS3 like their European counterparts.

The lack of Play TV aside, the US Aino still has plenty to offer including Media Home. This application allows users to access media content from their PC, streaming it to the Aino automatically over Wi-Fi. The phone also synchronizes media content with your computer while it charges. With all that content, you’ll need a nice big screen to be able to view it. Sony Ericsson’s got you covered with a 3-inch crystal clear screen with a 240 x 432 pixel resolution. That large screen allow users to watch mulitmedia in widescreen format. It also comes in handy when the phone enters touchscreen mode which is initiated by accessing multimedia. All other functions including texting are handled by the keypad. This phone also has some serious audio thanks to the packaged wireless stereo headphones with charging dock.
Keeping the goodie parade going, the Aino also has a 8.1 megapixel camera with a 16x digital zoom complete with Auto Focus, Face detection, and geo tagging. The phone also supports video and lets users upload their images directly to the web. Aino has 55MB of internal memory, but has a micro SD slot for additional storage.
Scheduled to release in the fall, the Aino is available in Obsidian Black and Luminous White. It is a great feature phone for people that want to get all the oohs and aahs that the current wave of smartphones are recieving, but don’t necessarily want or need the fancy operating systems. It’s also a good way to pass time while rumors continue to swirl about a possible PSP phone that set to go into development next year.
