GizaPage Launches Premium Services

by rahsheen GizaPage Launches Premium Services

GizaPage is a service that allows you to aggregate your online identity in one place. The concept is similar to other sites we’ve covered like Chi.mp and DandyID. The implementation is slightly different, though. In their own words:

GizaPage helps organizations strengthen their Web 2.0 roots and control their online identity by giving them a hub for their social media footprints that mirrors their corporate brand image,” said GizaPage founder and CEO, Amit Jaipuria. “New premium features such as sub-domain masking and the 1-Click GizaCard give brands an easy way to promote all of their social profiles to consumers, and drive them to a single location where they can browse each profile side by side.

Your GizaPage basically consists of a tabbed interface including a basic profile and tabs for each social site you choose to add or Pin. Each tab simply embeds the actual site (except for Twitter, which uses TweeTree), so that visitors to your GizaPage can interact with all of your social profiles from one simple site. You have the choice of over 75 services.

The new premium services help to further personalize your online identity. By default, you get a subdomain of the GizaPage.com domain, so your site would be at You.GizaPage.Com. GizaPage now enables you to completely remove that GizaPage branding from your URL. This puts GizaPage a step ahead of some of their competitors. I think allowing control over the actual domain that points to your identity is what has kept Chi.mp ahead of the pack in this area. While Chi.mp offers free .mp domains to it’s users, GizaPage will be charging $4.99 per month. You can get this feature free for one year if you go ahead and sign up before July 31st.

GizaPage also automatically creates a 1-Click GizaCard that you can use to spread your identity across the web. It displays icons for all your social profiles on a single card. With a single click, the card takes people to your GizaPage to browse all of your profiles from a single place, under a single URL. You can embed the card on your blog, Twitter, Facebook, and other websites.

Additional premium features include:

  • Profile Redesign – Change the background, color, font and layout of your GizaPage profile
  • Basic Analytics – Get up-to-date details of visits and page views to your GizaPage and various social profiles
  • E-mail Updates – Receive free, bi-monthly e-mails alerting you to new GizaPage signups by contacts in your e-mail address book, new connections between friends and updates made to friends’ GizaPages

This whole web identity thing is still a new paradigm, but GizaPage seems to be a viable contender. One thing it brings to the table that others lack is immediate interaction with your social profiles without actually leaving the site. It will be interesting to see what features begin to emerge among these services as competition increases.
