How to Capture thisMoment. Right Here Right Now.
by rahsheenI don’t come across many services that I can actually get excited about, but thisMoment has really captured my attention. It’s not that there aren’t a lot of other good services out there, but they all pretty much do the same thing: they allow you to create a constant stream of everything you’re doing. These different services allow you to post photos, videos, microblogs, update your status, and much more. You’ve got your sites for video, your blogs, your microblogs, your sites for audio and music, sites for photos, and others. You break your neck to share all this information across all these sites and for what? It all just flows down the river of noise and off waterfall of oblivion, never to be seen again.
Tying it all together
So, what does thisMoment do that the other guys don’t? It allows you to simply and easily capture the feeling of a moment. According to founder Vince Broady, “It gets to the essence of the human experience, which is emotion.”
With thisMoment, it’s simple to pull together all of your media that relates to a specific event. You and others can then browse through all the items related to that event or moment. There is no tagging or separating stuff into categories to try and keep it all organized. Just slap it all together into a moment, add whatever details you’d like, and you’re done. You can even connect your other services to make pulling in your data easier.
Capturing Moments On the Fly
There are many cool features of thisMoment including: captioning and adding plain text, embedding and sharing your moment on other social sites, and rich privacy controls. One of the coolest things to me, though, is the ability to create a moment right from your mobile device. Use the mobile site or add a moment by email.
There are many things that thisMoment can do. From obsessing about your dream car to documenting your first Radiohead concert. The question is, What will you do with it?
