Michael Jackson’s name surfaced in the number 3 and 6 positions on Google’s list of the top 100 trending topics about fifty-four or more minutes after the first tweet on Twitter trended the same topic. In the interim, Techcrunch posted, “The Web Collapses Under The Weight Of Michael Jackson’s Death,” and cited that Twitter and other websites (AOL’s TMZ, Perez Hilton and the LATimes) crashed as fans rushed to read news reports on the King of Pop.

Bob Johnson, founder of Black Entertainment Television (BET) and currently the  owner of Urban Television (BW2.0 Interview), issued the following statement in regard to the death of Michael Jackson:

As the founder of Black Entertainment Television (BET), we owe a great deal of our existence to the genius of Michael Jackson who will forever be remembered as the greatest entertainer and the most dynamic force in the recording industry that the world has ever seen. This is a tragic loss that will be felt around the globe. I extend my most heartfelt sympathy to the Jackson family and his fans worldwide. He will greatly be missed.

I LOVE YOU MICHEAL JACKSON REST IN HEAVEN YOU WILL BE ALWAYS BE THE KING OF POP MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYER IS WITH YOU!

June 25th will forever be Michael Jackson Day!

Wait…who am I kidding, if white america didn’t give Elvis his own day…I know they won’t give MJ his even though he’s on an entirely different level than Elvis, or any other so called icon before him and present day.

But then again you never know…since most of us never thought we would see the day that the US was ran by a Black person. Barrack needs to partially thank Michael for that considering the vast amount of people from all ages and all races he brought together many years ago.

Let’s pay homage to one of the most influential people this world has ever seen and ignore the idiotic, insignificant morons such as most of the news outlets who continue to comment on some of the "controversial" matters relating to MJ and his person life. Really, when you think about it, who determines what's "controversial"? I believe we all know the answer to that question.

Nice blog by the way. Long time follower, first time commenting.
  • Forget THE KING OF POP, Michael Jackson should simply be known as THE KING or at the very least THE KING OF MUSIC. No one comes close and no one will ever surpass what he did.
  • Michael Jackson you leave us too soon , we still desire to hear your voice & your songs
. Your song ” Heal The World ” hope can really heal & save this world. We really miss you… Rest In Peace Mike , Good bye….
