Many of celebrities on Twitter don't bother following those that follow them. Which comes as no surprise either. We are seemingly more interested in them than they are us. So I don't believe people are surprised. As far as violation. Crossing the line to me would be a celeb posting false information. I work among celebs and personal assistants and truly Twitter to many of them is just a FREE publicity tool.
