TwTask Brings Task Management To Twitter
TwTask is an application that allows you to create tasks directly from Twitter. This means that you can add new tasks with the same ease that you can update your status. Doesn’t matter if you’re using Twitter via the web or a client on your desktop.
Creating Tasks
The first thing you’ll need to do is register at TwTask.com, then follow @twtask on Twitter. This allows you to create your new tasks via Direct Message so you don’t clutter your public time line. You don’t have to supply your Twitter account info, so this may be a relief for some of us.
Creating tasks is simple. Here are a couple of examples:
- d twtask Buy Obama commemorative plates #errands
- @twtask Check out that TwTask thing @rahsheen was talking about #asap
- d twtask Take over the world #someday
The optional list argument you see after the task description allows you to keep your tasks organized. If you don’t specify anything, the task will go on your “someday” list.
Managing Tasks
You can complete, delete, and add new tasks via the web interface. You can also drag the lists around to keep things organized. Adding new lists is a click away. Also, remember to refresh your lists after you’ve sent new tasks from Twitter.
TwTask could be just the thing for those of us who want to implement some type of productivity/GTD system, but are confused by many of the tools available. If you use Twitter, you’re already half-way there.
What do you think about TwTask? Do you already have a way to manage tasks? Does all this GTD stuff just confuse you? Leave a comment.
