Tweetree Make Twitter More Manageable
by rahsheenTweetree is a new service created by Draconis Software that aims to add rich features to the standard interface, without actually changing the basic layout. It actually fills a gap between Twitter and other micro-blogging services like Rejaw and FriendFeed. Many Twitter users would like to see images, videos and other media right in their timeline and Tweetree makes it happen.
Easily Follow Conversations
In the image, you can see that the conversations are threaded, so it’s easy to see who is saying what to who. When you hover over the conversation, you get links to view the full conversation, reply, and also view the original update on Twitter.
Embedded Media and FriendFeed
Here, we see the actual FriendFeed item that was linked in the update actually embedded right inside of the Tweetree time line. Now, you don’t have to click on random ff.im links to see what people are talking about. Also, other shortened links are expanded so that you can see where they go before you click them. You will also see embedded YouTube videos, photos from Twitpic and more.
Tweetree should make it much easier to stay focus on what people are saying. No more clicking random links to view pictures and media. View videos and everything right in your stream. Tweetree is one of many services that are trying to make Twitter do more than it can by itself and I think it does a pretty good job.
