I find it interesting that of all of the major African American sites out there the only one playing with the big dogs (without multimillion dollar backing) is Will Moss and Dante Lee. Think about it... This guy writes code, builds a site, and turns it into millions of dollars from a concept. Sure we all know and love sites like BET.com, Blackplanet.com and Blackvoices.com but all of those sites were backed by non-african americans when they were launched and had deep pockets to turn to.
