AlphaPMS: Another Project Management Player

AlphaPMS: Another Project Management Player

Recently, Dynamik Duo, Inc. released AlphaPMS, an online project management software designed as an inexpensive way to monitor projects in a collaborative fashion. While there is certainly a growing customer base – notably small business owners – who could benefit from such a product, so, too, are there various competitors with more well-known offerings. From well-established companies with higher dollar value offerings to open source free options such as Google Docs and Openoffice.org. The 3 main features of AlphaPMS are:

  • increased productivity due to real-time monitoring
  • ability to collaborate
  • “seamless integration” with existing enterprise software

None of these features stick out as something that will either bedevil the competition or one-up them. Prices seem to be very reasonable, starting at $20/month for businesses with 15 users and a maximum of 10 projects all the way up to $150/month for businesses with an unlimited amount of users and projects. But it’s also hard to beat free. And that is exactly what Dynamik Duo, Inc. is up against when looking at  the competition.

I attempted to start the 7 day trial run to kick the tires a bit, but after signing up was unfortunately told that my trial had expired. Hopefully, they’ll get the bugs worked out so prospective buyers can get an in-depth view of their product and why they should pick it over less expensive rivals.

This is definitely one of the more interesting web-based project portfolio management software applications I've seen in awhile. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

Nice post! I think that AlphaPMS has a lot to offer and can succeed by offering an advantage over its competitors.

I contacted them about fixing the free trial issue. They said, they are looking into it now.
