iPhone App review “Be Like Lil’ Wayne” on your iPhone

I’m not sure if you saw this one coming or maybe you did but the guy who sold over a million copies of his album on day one of it’s release, now has an iPhone app called “Be Like Lil’ Wayne” . The app is made by EpicTilt the same team behind ESPN’s Cameraman app. EpicTilt partnered with Universal Records to allow all of the Lil’ Wayne fans with an iPhone to take pictures of yourself or of your friends and add your very own bling, locs, shades and/or Lil’ Wayne tattoos to your photo. After you have customized your Lil’ Wayne photo you can either save it for yourself or upload it to the “Be Like Lil’ Wayne” social gallery site where you can see the thousands of other Lil’ Wayne user generated photos. Even if you don’t want to use one of your iPhone photos you can just play around with some Lil’ Wayne gallery photos included in the iPhone app.

Here’s a video review of the app, I wonder since he’s Lil’ Wayne, does that make me “Big Wayne?”  LOL. Anyway, take a look at the iPhone app demo, have you downloaded your copy yet? It’s only $0.99 in the iTunes App store [link]:

LIL WAYNE says:

its cool fun app. had alot of fun with it. dont understand why they charge for it though?

Edward Cates says:

I bought it and it is actually a really fun App. Great time killer. Lil Wayne’d my wife, 13 year old son (to see what might have been), my 6 year old at his request (he wanted a grill) and myself so icey. Frivolous, meaningless fun.

ListenToLeon says:

Like Angela said, I wouldn’t pay for this…Then again, I can just Photoshop it myself if I want to make a funny picture. Still, I’m glad that Lil Wayne is taking advantage of this opportunity to make money from the iPhone.

Wayne Sutton says:

@Justin Palne, funny I’ll stick to blogging & tweeting and let Lil Wayne have his “amilli” , maybe I’ll make a remix for you?

Justin Paine says:

@Wayne Sutton

The “amilli” joke was awful, but it did make me laugh. :P

Tim Reynolds says:

Nice post. Thank you for the info. Keep it up.

Angela says:

Not sure I would pay even $0.99 for this but glad to see he has an app none the less.

FB Connect C00L… Oh, Yes, capitalism is about capitalizing on a hot item until the wheels fall off. Technology has a lot of road for Hiphop to drive slow on so we should be pleasantly surprised for a while…

Wayne Sutton says:

@Markus good point, I would have thought it would have been free also, but I guess with the economy even Lil Wayne is trying to make some extra cash off of the iPhone.

Also with talk of a $99.00 4gb iPhone at Wal-mart soon, I’m sure his app will be downloaded “amilli ” times. :)

Markus says:

Interesting app, but why would they charge for this? I know its only $.99, but why not let it go for free? The more users the more publicity right?

But then again, maybe Epic Tilt paid for the rights to use Lil Wayne’s likeness, and are trying to recoup their money.
