Common Launches ThinkCommon.com

Mr. Electric Circus has jumped on the bandwagon of internet presence and officially launched his site. Soulbounce has echoed, per one of his own vlog posts, that Common now adds ‘blogger’ to his resumé.

A heavy dose of flash greets you over at ThinkCommon.com, but it’s not obnoxious. The opening menu is a little weird as the Chicago skyline acts as menu buttons, but it loads fast and can easily be read.

The pinnacle of the site is, of course, Common’s blog, where he already had four posts up. Whether the blog will be a door into the mind of the lyricist, sharing inspirations, fashion, and random beautiful women like Kanyé, or just another label-branded pandering with ghost bloggers putting up his videos, is yet to be seen.

In this day, however, blogging is slowly going the way of the DVD. Everyone has one. While I feel professional vlogging, micro-blogging (read: Twitter), photo-blogging / geo-caching, and mobile blogging will eventually take over, we will see how ‘interactive’ said Common becomes with his fans….since, that kind of is the whole point.

The YouTube vlog is embedded below.
