According to Newteevee, a 19-year-old Floridian, Abraham K. Biggs, live streamed his suicide Wednesday as he was apparently “egged on” by commenters on Justin.tv and fellow forum users on bodybuilding.com. According to the story, Biggs overdosed on pills while on camera and appeared to be breathing for hours while viewers watched. One forum member became concerned by Biggs’ lack of movement and located the young man’s actual name and location. The viewer then pleaded with the forum to call the Miami-Dade police department, but according to Mashable, was met with cynical replies declining to intervene on account of Biggs’ previous behaviors. One viewer finally convinced the Broward Sheriff Officers to check on Biggs, and as camera’s rolled (viewer discretion is advised), Biggs’ door was busted down and officers and paramedics arrived on the scene, checked his status, and covered the camera.

Mashable goes on to report that the Biggs’ death has been confirmed with the Broward County medical examiner and the timeline has been pieced together from several different forums that have chronicled the unfortunate series of events.

This is seriously depressing, but something told me that with all these live video this was going to happen sooner or later. I just hate that I wasn't wrong. The fact that people were iggin' him on is what's really horrible, too. It reminds me of the movie "Untraceable" where a killer posts his murders on live video sites and the victim is tortured to death in proportion to how many people are watching. I know most folks couldn't have known what they were about to witness and I just hope it doesn't inspire a string of copycats. :(
