We are excited to announce Black Web 2.0 was selected to be among the many Blog Partners for Mashable’s 2nd Annual Open Web Awards! We are in the company of some other really great blogs as an official Blog Partner for the awards. If you aren’t quit sure what the Open Web Awards are here is a quick overview:

Open Web Awards is the only multilingual international online voting competition that covers major innovations in web technology. Through an online nominating and voting process, the Open Web Awards recognizes and honors the top achievements in 26 categories.

This is a great opportunity for all of us to nominate some really interesting sites that would otherwise go unnoticed. So Vote! Nominations can be made via a widget that you will see embedded in a series of posts like so:

Throughout the upcoming week we will call out a few categories that are near and dear, the title of the posts will be “What’s your favorite…?” and will include the widget you will need to vote. You can use the widget to vote on ANY of the 26 categories, just be sure to use the drop down to change the category listing. We are really excited and hope everyone takes advantage of submitting your favorite sites. Nominations end on Sunday November 16th at 11:59 PST.
